P&G Prestige has signed a licensing agreement to manufacture and distribute women’s scents under the James Bond 007 moniker.
The launch, which comes three years after P&G Prestige introduced the first men’s James Bond-inspired fragrance, will be timed with the release of the next James Bond movie in 2015.
“A women’s scent proposition represents the missing element that will make the James Bond fragrance universe complete and is an exciting addition to our portfolio” said Carla Liuni, vice president of P&G Prestige. She added: “Looking back over the last 50 years, the James Bond history has seen many beautiful, strong and smart women whose image is today more powerful than ever. This is an incredibly inspirational ground for new fragrance launches.” According to P&G executives, the franchise, which has spanned 23 films produced since 1962, is the longest running in film history.
