LONDON — Preen by Thornton Bregazzi plans to return to London Fashion Week in September, according to British Fashion Council. The label had been showing at New York Fashion Week for the past five years.
Justin Thornton, who co-founded the label with Thea Bregazzi, said the moment was right to return to London. Preen began showing in New York for the spring 2008 season.
“We originally left for New York because we wanted to expand the business and grow internationally. And we are very influenced by American sportswear,” he told WWD. It felt like the right place to go at the time.

“Today, London is a very different fashion week to what it once was, and it’s a great place for us to show. It feels right to be here again. It’s more of an international fashion week now,” he added.
Caroline Rush, chief executive of the BFC said: “It’s great to see the Preen mainline collection returning to show in London, they will be an exciting and much anticipated addition to the LFW schedule.”
The brand sells at more than 200 stores worldwide, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Harvey Nichols, Harrods, and Matches.
