CROWN CONUNDRUM: Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be featured alongside their royal great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth as characters in a children’s book to commemorate the sovereign’s birthday on April 21.
Published by the Royal Collection Trust and written by David Cali, the book coincides with the monarch’s 90th birthday. The book was illustrated by Kate Slater using a 3-D collage technique for each scene in the story.

“The Birthday Crown” is a 32-page tale of the Queen’s search for a crown to wear for her birthday. While preparing for her day, she looks to her royal staff for suggestions on a regal headpiece. But it’s two-year old Prince George who saves the day with a paper crown that he created himself.
Priced at 12.95 pounds, or $18, the book will be available for purchase at the Royal Collection Trust shops in London and Edinburgh and other bookstores on April 12.
