Sally Hansen Bows in Italy

The leading nail-care label will be available in selected retail channels starting from this month.

MILAN — American nail-care brand Sally Hansen is coming to Italy.

Starting this month, the label’s line of nail lacquers, treatments and beauty tools will be available at more than 400 stores of the drugstore chain Tigotà and in a selection of perfumeries distributed over the country.

Cécile Divisionali, general manager of the consumer division in Italy and Greece at parent company Coty Inc., announced the launch on March 23, underscoring both the longtime expertise and strive for innovation of the label. “This is a brand founded in the Fifties but that hasn’t been stuck in the past. It has reinvented itself and it’s a trendsetter, which is very important for our Italian customers,” she said, also highlighting the local clientele’s demand for quality and high-performing beauty products.

According to the Italian association of cosmetics companies Cosmetica Italia’s data, nail products represented the first category in makeup consumption in 2016, leading with 12 percent and followed by eye makeup and lip products, both at 8 percent.
