NEW YORK — Roberto de Silva is a very romantic man, and he proved it by naming his company for his wife. Diana de Silva, a cosmetic and fragrance company started in 1975, is one of the leaders in the Italian luxury cosmetic business. And now the firm is expanding into the world of fashion accessories with its “Les Produits,” which will be launched in the U.S. with a luncheon Tuesday at Le Cirque. The diversified line ranges from scarves to handbags to costume jewelry, which will be available in major department stores and specialty stores starting in August.
“The inspiration behind the line comes from the past, the Twenties and Thirties,” says general manager and designer Roberta Cassol. “All our products are also inspired by Roberto de Silva’s vintage bottle collection, which numbers more than 300.”
