LONDON — London accessories designer Sophie Hulme is taking her sales and marketing in-house, and has made two new appointments to fill those roles.
Teresio Blanchetti has joined Sophie Hulme as global head of sales, from his previous role as head of sales at Christopher Kane, while Diane Crook has been named global communications director. Crook will support the marketing, PR and communications functions across Hulme’s business.
The new structure will take effect in July; before then, the in-house team will work with Polly King, Hulme’s current sales agent, for the brand’s resort 2016 collection.
Hulme is known for her leather tote bags with distinctive metal details. Stores including Harrods, Liberty and Selfridges in London and Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman in New York carry her collections.
