With “Wasteland” as a theme, Daniel Blechman’s Sopopular collection was inspired by tribes and gangs and meant to look post-apocalyptic. While well-tailored Mods might go for his all-black parka with monochromatic patches, Blechman’s idea actually proved surprisingly wearable. The muted color spectrum ran from jet to blue-gray to white, with shirts, shorts and trousers worked in fresh ombré patterns. A Bermuda shorts-button-down combo with X-crossed straps looked crisp in both black and white versions, while a sweatshirt with a slashed-shoulder detail gave a glimpse of skin.
