PARIS — L’Oréal Paris has signed Susan Sarandon as its newest international brand ambassador, representing Age Perfect skin care and hair color.

“She is a true woman of worth: an Oscar winner, mother, activist, entrepreneur, fighter and a beautiful example of what it means to age with grace,” the brand said. “She paved her own road to success with her signature film work, willingness to speak her mind without a filter and ageless beauty.”

The 69-year-old native New Yorker began her silver-screen career in “Joe” at the age of 20. Her subsequent film credits include blockbusters such as “Thelma & Louise,” “Bull Durham” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Sarandon has received five Academy Award nominations and won the Best Actress accolade for “Dead Man Walking” in 1995.

Regarding L’Oréal Paris, Saradon stated: “The brand has always been a leader in helping in the empowerment and development of women. The very first time I heard ‘Because I’m Worth It’ [the brand’s motto], it definitely was a shift in the framing of why you should look good. It had to do with women becoming the master of their own lives and decisions.
