Tommy Hilfiger and Mytheresa.com have launched a limited-edition Mytheresa.com x Tommy re-edition collection capsule. The line is available beginning today on Mytheresa.com.
The capsule features modernized versions of Hilfiger’s Nineties sportswear pieces. There are eight pieces in the collection, which is designed under the Hilfiger Collection label.
Among the looks are a fluid varsity jacket, boxer short and a variety of sweatshirts and football dresses in such colors as tawny port, cabernet, deep well blue, antique white and classic red. The capsule has such details as luxe velvet finishes, along with satin H appliqués, velvet jacquard stripes, flags, numbers and embroidered script. Retail prices range from $145 to $480.
“The Mytheresa.com x Tommy re-edition collection revisits Nineties nostalgia and celebrates iconic styles from our archives,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Some of my favorite designs from my early years have been modernized for today with innovative fabrications, luxe fabrics and modern silhouettes. As we wrap up our 30th anniversary celebrations this year, it felt like an exciting moment to share these iconic looks with the new generation of Tommy fans.”
Justin O’Shea, Mytheresa.com buying director, added, “What I love about Tommy is the American heritage. The point of this collaboration is to celebrate the credibility which he generated in the Nineties, which continues to resonate today amongst the next generation of Tommy fans.” He said the flag logo was the starting point and they mixed in fabrics from the American-themed, football-inspired fall 2015 collection.
To showcase the line, Suki and Immy Waterhouse were photographed by Zackery Michael in the capsule pieces. This represents the first time the sisters worked together on a fashion project.
