ANGEL DUST: The Victoria’s Secret runway show in London raised more than $2.5 million for charities through ticket sales, a spokeswoman for the company confirmed Wednesday.
A host of charities, including the American Cancer Society, Pelotonia and Gabriel’s Angels, auctioned pairs of tickets for the show, and they fetched prices in excess of $25,000.
The brand’s annual runway spectacle took place in London for the first time, on Tuesday at Earl’s Court exhibition center. Approximately 200 guests at the two shows attended with charity tickets. It was the brand’s biggest runway event to date, and organizers have not ruled out a repeat performance in London next year.
