THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS: Feeling inspired by this year’s slew of Yves Saint Laurent biopics? Online vintage retailer Resee is curating a trio of YSL sales featuring the kind of archival pieces that have “Loulou de la Falaise” written all over them.
The first sale began Oct. 1 and consisted of items from the couturier’s notorious Forties Collection from 1971, in addition to pieces from his Russian Collection.
The second one, beginning Dec. 10, will feature selected items from the Safari Collection as well as evening wear, Seventies trench coats and winter pieces. Items on offer include a Sixties Safari laced tunic priced 350 euros, or $430 at current exchange, a Seventies beige fringed cape at 670 euros, or $823, and a sheer polka-dot evening blouse at 300 euros, or $368.
