WRANGLER MONITORS BRETT: Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre threw for his 500th touchdown and 70,000th yard against the New York Jets Monday night, milestones that came during a 29-20 Vikings loss. It was the latest trial for Favre, who is being investigated by the NFL for allegedly sending racy text messages and lewd photos to a Jets game hostess in 2008, when he played for the team. Favre, who refused to discuss the situation at a postgame press conference, was nonetheless front and center in a Wrangler commercial during Monday’s ESPN broadcast. No one from the denim brand would comment on whether Wrangler plans to continue its association with Favre, or whether there is a morals clause in his contract. The company said, “We are following the story like everyone else. We are not making any major decisions on our marketing program until more information is available.” But was he wearing Wranglers when he sent those texts? — Jean E. Palmieri
SWITCHING BACK: After just one season with Naomi Watts, Ann Taylor is going back to Heidi Klum for its holiday campaign. The “Project Runway” star returns as the face of the brand, after appearing in ads during last year’s holiday run. Klum, who was shot by Rankin, will begin appearing in the December issues of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour. — Amy Wicks
