Better late than never.
Fast-fashion retailer Zara might be ahead when it comes to churning out the latest trends, but it’s taken a little longer for the company to embrace the digital world. Zara will launch e-commerce in the U.S. Wednesday for the first time.
The full range of women’s, men’s and children’s apparel carried at brick-and-mortar locations will now be available at zara.com, with free shipping to all 50 states.
To coincide with the debut of its e-commerce platform in the U.S., the 22-year-old retailer commissioned 24 photographers — including Noah Kalina, Peter Baker and Stephen Tamiesie — to take photos of each of the 50 states as part of a “Dear America” campaign. Zara also launched a Twitter account @ZARA_US to cater to its American following and provide updates and news within the market.
Currently, consumers can purchase online from the Inditex-owned company in 16 countries across Europe, where it just celebrated a year in the e-commerce space.
