Robert Talbott has licensed Well Dressed Men for footwear and small leather goods.
Under the terms of the deal with the Milwaukee-based WDM, Robert Talbott, the luxury men’s wear brand based in Monterey, Calif., will offer more than 20 styles of bespoke, luxury leather shoes beginning with the fall season. The shoes will be offered in a variety of styles including saddle-stitched wingtips, oxfords, Chelsea boots and evening shoes. Leather backpacks, weekenders and wallets will also be offered.
“Robert Talbott is the pinnacle of men’s wear in the United States and we can now fully wardrobe their customers with their debut collection of bespoke leather footwear and accessories. WDM is very much looking forward to our partnership,” said Mark Kohlenberg, WDM’s chief executive officer and founding partner.
“Our agreement with WDM strengthens our brand in the shoe category and is fulfillment of our goal to provide customers with a complete fashion solution. We look forward to a successful partnership with WDM as we build this category together,” said Shelby Godfrey, vice president of sourcing and licensing for Robert Talbott.
The 67-year-old Robert Talbott is best known for its high-end shirts and neckwear but has branched out into a complete line of men’s wear in recent years. It now offers suit, sport coats, knitwear, dress and casual pants and accessories. In November, it opened an 1,800-square-foot store at 501 Madison Avenue.
WDM specializes in private-label men’s leather footwear and accessories.
