Perry Ellis International Inc. has expanded its licensing relationship with Bespoke Fashion LLC for the Original Penguin brand.

Bespoke, which has held the license for Original Penguin and Perry Ellis neckwear over the last several years, has been granted the rights to design and distribute Original Penguin hosiery in the U.S. and Canada. Distribution is expected to mirror that of the brand’s men’s sportswear, encompassing better department stores such as Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Dillard’s and The Bay.

The hosiery is expected to take its styling cues from the playful nature of the Original Penguin brand, incorporating innovative construction and imaginative patterns, the companies said.

Oscar Feldenkreis, president and chief operating officer of Miami-based Perry Ellis, said, “We look forward to working with [Bespoke’s] team and offering exciting, original product for our customers while continuing to expand our global reach.”

Bespoke became the men’s neckwear licensee for Perry Ellis and Original Penguin in 2012 and began deliveries in January 2013.

The company is based in New York and is headed by chief executive officer Danielle Mandelbaum Anderman.
