David Fin Ties is doing its part to help America’s veterans.
The Jacksonville, Fla.-based neckwear firm has partnered with The Folded Flag Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides educational grants to surviving family members of military and government employees who have lost their lives in combat.
Starting Wednesday, David Fin will donate $5 for each tie sold on its web site to the organization. The company will also donate ties to be auctioned off at Folded Flag events. Because Black Knight Financial Services and ServiceLink underwrite all administrative costs for The Folded Flag, 100 percent of all donations go directly to families in need, according to David Fin.
David Fin Ties, which was founded in 2014, has a mission to support transitioning military families, including raising awareness of veteran employment. Its neckwear is manufactured in New York City using silk from Como, Italy and most of the ties retail for around $95. It also offers pocket squares.
John Coogan, executive director of The Folded Flag Foundation, said, “The mission of David Fin Ties and their commitment to veteran causes and military families is one that greatly complements the mission of The Folded Flag Foundation. By affiliating with David Fin Ties, the mission of The Folded Flag Foundation will reach new audiences and we appreciate the generosity shown by David Fin Ties in making their beautiful and highly sought-after neckwear part of our fund-raising efforts.”
David Herzka, founder and chief executive officer of David Fin Ties, said, “Our military veterans sacrifice so much in service to our country and are among our bravest heroes. I founded David Fin Ties to give the luxury consumer a product that carries a story and spreads awareness around the issues facing veteran families. Our partnership with The Folded Flag Foundation will help us achieve this goal.”
