Perry Ellis International has signed a licensing agreement with Peerless Clothing International for boys’ tailored clothing under the Perry Ellis Portfolio name. The deal covers suits, sport coats, suit separates, dress pants, dress shirts and neckties in the U.S. and Canada.

The line will be sold in department stores and better specialty stores beginning for spring.

“We are enthusiastic about working with Peerless Clothing International,” said George Feldenkreis, executive chairman of Perry Ellis. “This collaboration is consistent with our initiatives to expand the Perry Ellis brand and we look forward to introducing the brand to a new generation of consumers.”

Ronny Wurtzburger, president of Peerless, added that by partnering with Perry Ellis on the Portfolio brand in boys will fill a void in the market. “We feel there is a need for boys’ fashion at this level,” he said.
