Corneliani has opened a new store in Beijing at the Shin Kong Place mall, which recently renovated its men’s wear department.
Podda Ponti Architetti design firm curated the store concept, infusing the space with natural tones, suede upholstery and light gray velvets in contrast with polished ebony and charcoal leather elements. The brand’s signature pattern of linked rings is used in a see-through version at the entrance and in a lounge dedicated to sartorial garments.
The Corneliani ID leisurewear collection and a made-to-measure area are also featured in the store.
The Chinese flagship marks another step in Corneliani’s global expansion strategy under its new owner, the Bahrain-based Investcorp. The brand has appointed Paolo Roviera as its new chief executive officer, effective Sept. 5. Roviera was previously Pal Zileri’s ceo.
