BERLIN — In the most recent key management change, Gerrit Ruetzel, president and chief executive officer of Hugo Boss Americas, is stepping down from his post to “seek new opportunities,” effective Sept. 30, the company said Tuesday.
Ruetzel took over the position in 2014, after serving as president and ceo of Hugo Boss in Asia Pacific. During his 15-year tenure with the Metzingen fashion company, Ruetzel was managing director of Hugo Boss fashions, managing director for international brands and prior to that, director of international sales.
Boss has named Anthony Lucia president and ceo of Hugo Boss USA, effective Oct. 15. A member of the Boss team from 1998 to 2008, Lucia has 25 years of wholesale and retail experience, and a “profound knowledge of the U.S. market,” Boss said.
Lucia will report to Bernd Hake, chief sales officer of Hugo Boss AG.
In the remaining Americas markets, Lanita Layton and Endre Pech will be responsible for Canada and South America, respectively. Both will report directly to Hake.
