The changes continue at J.Lindeberg.

Just days after revealing that Johan Lindeberg would be returning to the brand he founded in 1996, Jessy Heuvelink, J.Lindeberg’s head designer, said he is leaving the company. Heuvelink, who has been with the brand for more than 10 years, will focus on his own line, JH Nocturnal, the company said.

“Jessy has been a tremendous part of the J.Lindeberg brand,” said Stefan Engstrom, chief executive officer and co-owner. “With his sense of aesthetic he has been a vital part of the successful journey we have gone through these last few years, including growth and turning loss to profit. That could never have been done without a strong vision and sense for the balance of fashion and commercial for our fashion collections.”

Heuvelink said the decision was made “after careful consideration. I want to pursue the other interests in my life, including my own brand JH Nocturnal and other artistic projects. The brand is ready for the next chapter and I am grateful and proud to have been part of this amazing journey in establishing the solid platform the brand has today. I would like to thank all of the inspiring people who I have worked passionately with over the last 10 years.”

Heuvelink’s last day will be Dec. 31. The designer was recruited by Johan Lindeberg to join the brand as a sports designer. He has served as head designer for the last three years.

Last week, J.Lindeberg revealed that Lindeberg would return to the fashion and golfwear brand that he left in 2007. At the time, Lindeberg said he would concentrate primarily on building the brand’s women’s collection while Heuvelink would continue to oversee the men’s fashion line. Lindeberg signed a two-year contract with the brand.

The Dutch-born Heuvelink, whose résumé includes Victor & Rolf, Christian Lacroix and Adidas, launched the JH Nocturnal accessories line in 2013. The collection includes leather masks, head pieces and body accessories as well as more conventional leather goods such as belts and bracelets for men and women under the JH Collection.
