CHECK ME OUT: Streetwear brand Supreme has teamed with British label Aquascutum on a fall capsule collection that launches this month.
The Supreme x Aquascutum six-piece range features a raincoat, club jacket, utility vest, tops and a wool and cashmere scarf — done up in the British label’s signature club check pattern. The price ranges from 98 pounds, or $121 at current exchange, for a scarf up to 598 pounds, or $739, for a trenchcoat. The line is available for purchase at Supreme’s web site and stores on Oct. Thursday.
The collaboration for its men’s range comes at a time when the British luxury label is also in the process of reviving its women’s wear offer. Earlier this year, London-based designer Kasha Crampton, who previously held design roles at Reiss’ women’s and men’s wear departments, was appointed senior women’s wear designer and given the task of revitalizing the label’s women’s range. Her spring collection for the label was presented during London Fashion Week, The brand showed during London Fashion Week for the first time since 2008.
The label joins a roster of brands that have collaborated with Supreme in the past including Levi’s and North Face. Launched in 1851 by John Emary, Aquascutum designed trenchcoats worn by the British military during World Wars I and II.
