Model Call: New Wave

Another season begins, and with it, many familiar faces will be walking the runway. But every new beginning also brings a fresh crop of models. Here, a few standouts who will be walking the European catwalks for spring. 

Miles Brown

Brown made his debut at Saint Laurent’s spring men’s show in New York last week. Hailing from the state of Texas, this fresh new face is definitely one to look out for.


Joao Knorr

Age: 18

Home Country: Brazil

Knorr made his European debut exclusively for Versace, opening the brand’s fall 2018 men’s show in Milan. He’s subsequently walked for Thom Browne and Balmain in Paris and was part of Dolce & Gabbana’s spring 2018 Alta Sartoria show in New York. Knorr has also been shot for Vogue Italia with Steven Klein and was featured in the Dsquared2 spring 2018 eyewear video campaign.


Bogdan Zbyrko

Age: 17

Home Country: Ukraine

Zbyrko also made his runway debut at Versace’s fall 2018 men’s show in Milan. He has walked for designers including Alexander McQueen, Balmain and Salvatore Ferragamo.

With a great start, the San Diego native is already confirmed to exclusively walk during this men’s season. A true California boy at heart, Servi loves skateboarding and surfing.

Age: 21 

Home Country: Ghana 

This is his first season walking shows in Europe. And when he’s not modeling, the Ghana native loves making music and rapping.

Home Country: U.S.

This will be the first season in Europe for the New York native, but he’s already walked in Tom Ford’s last men’s show, and is hoping to be added to Raf Simons’ spring show that will be held this season in Paris. Off the runway, he’s into poetry and graphic design. 

Daniel Angulo

Age: 24

Home Country: U.S.

It was during his first year in college that Angulo decided that university life wasn’t for him. So he moved from Miami to Los Angeles, where he met a photographer who recognized his potential as a model and posted a few images of him on a hike on Instagram. From there, Angulo’s modeling career took off. He walked first in Philipp Plein’s show in New York and will be doing Europe for the first time this season. 

Maximilian Mertz

In addition to his modeling career, the Rockville, Md., native is attending Pratt University for art. He’ll be walking in both Milan and Paris this season.
