Acustom Apparel will move into its own dedicated retail space in Los Angeles on May 26. The 1,000-square-foot shop will be located at 8065 West 3rd Street, a walkable dining and shopping district in the city. It will join the company’s 1,100-square-foot store at 33o West Broadway in New York’s SoHo neighborhood that opened in 2013. Acustom had been sharing space on Melrose Avenue with The Left Shoe Co.
Acustom Apparel was founded by Jamal Motlagh and Charles Tse as a bespoke men’s apparel brand that uses 3-D measurement technology to create everything from jeans and overcoats to suits and dress shirts. The company uses a proprietary “digital bespoke” process where a scanner collects 200,000 data points on a body in three seconds and creates a pattern for each individual customer.
Acustom Apparel plans to open stores in other markets in the U.S. this year including Washington, D.C. and Toronto.
