Name: Mizzen + Main
History: Mizzen + Main launched its performance shirt — it features four-way stretch and moisture-wicking fabric — in 2012. The Made in the U.S. shirt is sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Stanley Korshak, Bloomingdale’s and Mizzen + Main’s e-commerce site — and it is opening a temporary shop in New York City for Father’s Day.
Niche: Founders Kevin Lavelle and Web Smith started with the performance dress shirt, but they’ve since expanded the assortment to include long-sleeved Henleys and hooded Henleys.
Key Products: Mizzen + Main will introduce its new Leeward collection at the pop-up, which is a lighter-weight shirt that’s more structured and features quick-dry properties. In addition to shopping the line, customers will be able to get fitted for the shirts.
Price Points: Shirts range from $90 to $125 while Henleys are priced from $60 to $70.
Major Moment: The pop-up, which is located at 85 Mercer Street in SoHo, runs from June 10 to June 22.
