Skingraft is opening a pop-up store in San Francisco on Saturday.
The avant-garde label’s founders are Jonny and Christopher Cota, who began the business in Los Angeles in 2006, but were born and raised in San Francisco. The 800-square-foot store is at `e Mission District. It will carry a range of merchandise that includes men’s wear, women’s wear and accessories from both current and previous collections. The store will also feature specialty pieces, such as runway samples, as well as certain items considered Skingraft classics.
Because the pop-up will be open through mid-September, it will showcase select items from the fall line at the end of August.
“We decided on San Francisco for the pop-up location because it’s always been our dream to return home with the Skingraft vision,” said Christopher Cota.
His brother Jonny, who designs the label, said the Bay Area, featuring the “unique underground nightlife cultures of the city, was a significant influence in the early years of establishing the brand.”
