The Tie Bar is bringing its wares to Manhattan.

The Chicago-based retailer will open a SoHo pop-up in April. The 450-square-foot space will carry ties, bow ties, belts and socks from the brand’s core collection. The store will also feature some exclusive pieces, as well as the collaboration collections from Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade and “Modern Family” actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

“For us, New York is one of our largest markets and we think this is a natural step for us to grow our customer base,” said chief executive officer Michael Alter.

Allyson Lewis, vice president of merchandising, said the space will be raw and industrial with accessories organized by color. Sales associates will be equipped with iPads where customers can shop from the entire collection online and the brand is planning on holding in-store promotions and activations.

The opening follows a Chicago pop-up, which launched in October and is now a permanent store. Alter said The Tie Bar will unveil its third pop-up this fall and is considering locations including Washington, D.C.; San Francisco, and Philadelphia.

The company, which was started by husband and wife Greg and Gina Shugar in 2004, recently partnered with the Chicago Bulls on a collection of accessories. A portion of sales from the line will go toward Chicago Bulls charities.
