Tommy Fazio has turned the reins of the Project show over to former J.Lindeberg USA president Erik Ulin, according to market reports. The addition of Ulin comes as Fazio is transitioning to a larger role within the Advanstar Global organization, owner of Project. Sources said that he will now be overseeing the company’s entire trade show roster, including the women’s shows Fashion Coterie, Intermezzo and Accessorie Circuit.
Fazio was named president of Project and Menswear in mid-2012 and is credited with building the successful Tents @ Project initiative that focuses on designer brands. Before joining Project, he was men’s fashion and trend director for Nordstrom, president of Simon Spurr and men’s fashion director of Bergdorf Goodman.
Ulin had been president of J.Lindeberg’s American business since May 2011. Before that, he was with FTI Consulting working on turnarounds and restructurings including Lehman Brothers and Delphi Automotive, according to his LinkedIn page.
Fazio had no comment.
