Untuckit has named Aaron Sanandres chief executive officer.
Sanandres, who cofounded the business with Chris Riccobono in 2011, has spent the last few years juggling Untuckit, a men’s wear apparel startup, with his full-time job at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a partner in the transaction services group. Riccobono will take on the chief operating officer role.
“I thought when I made partner I would have more flexibility over my schedule but it was the opposite,” said Sanandres. “I found myself with less time on my hands and Untuckit needing a lot more time in terms of dedication.”
Sanandres will devote more time to growing the men’s apparel brand’s retail footprint. Untuckit, which is known for its shirts that didn’t look unkempt when not tucked in, opened a SoHo store in New York City last September and will open a store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago later this month. The company is hoping to open stores in Los Angeles, Houston and Atlanta before the end of the year.
Untuckit, which is self-funded, started with men’s shirts but has expanded into T-shirts, Henleys, sweaters, polo shirts and lightweight field jackets. The brand also launched a women’s collection.
