Stone Island wants to meet its North American customers on their mobile phones.
The Milan-based men’s wear brand launched an app that’s offered for both Apple iOS and Android devices.
The app, which was made available today, includes four sections. The story section tells the brand’s history. The archive section highlights key moments of innovation. The hub features content and seasonal product drops. The store is a digital pop-up retail experience where customers can buy exclusive products.
“Stone Island is defined by experimentation. We created this app aiming for a clear guide to our past and present research, and to enhance the Stone Island brand and shopping experience in North America,” said Carlo Rivetti, Stone Island’s president and creative director.
The app, which will sell Stone Island’s recent collaboration with Nike starting Thursday, is a part of the brand’s North American push that began after the commercial success of its capsule collection with Supreme. The company operated a pop-up in November that housed an archival selection of the brand’s reflective jackets. This space, located in SoHo on Greene Street, will become its first North American flagship in the third quarter of 2016.
