Under Armour has added another soccer star to its roster of sponsored athletes, bringing Borussia Mönchengladbach and Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka on board.
Xhaka, 23, is a leading player in the German Bundesliga, and is considered one of the top young talents in the soccer world.
“I feel my young, dynamic spirit is a perfect fit with Under Armour,” said Xhaka. “I look forward to taking my game to the next level, as I still have so much more that I want to achieve.”
Peter Murray, vice president of global brand and sports marketing for Under Armour, called Xhaka “a hugely exciting young footballer who has an incredible future ahead of him. We felt his relentless and determined style on the pitch matched our brand values perfectly. We plan to provide him with best-in-class gear to reach his goals.”
Xhaka will wear Under Armour’s ClutchFit Force 2.0 boot against Hamburger SV on Sunday. The boot is known for its fit and comfort by employing a Trivela microfiber upper with two-way stretch and symmetrical lacing system.
