Jean-Ralph Thurin staged an intimate presentation to showcase his tight lineup of one-of-a-kind bridal gowns. “I’m a huge James Bond fan,” the designer said, “and these are what the Bond girls would wear if they were marrying James Bond.” Each dress was designed for a specific character in the classic film series, and while the theme worked overall, individual gowns at times looked a bit too retro. Standout pieces included an asymmetric pleated gown with beaded sleeves, a sequin-covered trumpet gown, a lace halter jumpsuit and a one-shoulder pleated-bodice gown with layers and layers of frothy tulle.
