Polished crystals stitched with silver and gold, softly colored fabrics, intricate beading and cascading lace permeated the fall Oleg Cassini Wedding Dress Collection for David’s Bridal — shown on a retail schedule, hence showing fall looks during the spring 2016 bridal season. The inspiration was the Kennedy White House — the late Oleg Cassini dressed First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. One of the more dramatic silhouettes in the collection was a body-hugging trumpet style with corded lace covered with polished crystals, delicate shoulder straps and yards of sheer tulle. Peggy Nestor, creative director of Oleg Cassini, said a strapless gown featuring a sheer overlay of fine organza embroidered with polished crystals and an embroidered floral hem reflected the imagery of the collections the designer once created for Kennedy.
