Monique Lhuillier envisioned her brides running through a romantic flower garden. The result was a dreamy, enchanting fall lineup. Her models floated down the runway in featherweight Chantilly and embroidered lace gowns — done in mostly ivory with a few subtle pops of blush and mint — many with detachable skirts, one featuring a cutaway hemline and another covered in feathers. Romantic accents, such as clusters of satin roses and floral lace-printed organza, added texture and dimension to the gowns, which featured plunging necklines and sheer sleeves. Lhuillier managed to achieve an overall feeling of lightness, despite the elaborate, ornate opulence of each look.
