As part of a new license with wedding specialist Justin Alexander, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren unveiled their first official bridal collection — Viktor & Rolf Mariage — for fall. The glamorous lineup featured 25 sculptural gowns tinged with drama, asymmetry and volume.
Horsting and Snoeren gave their girl a range of silhouettes — from classic, fit-and-flare mermaids to princess gowns — with oversize bows and flowers, two of the brand’s signatures, decorating most of the looks. The duo’s “Flower Bomb” gown, a nod to the house’s hit fragrance, was exactly what it sounded like: a voluminous tulle skirt bursting with 3-D crepe and crystal floral appliqués that faded out toward the hem. The addition of a few fully embroidered minidresses and collared shifts — and two jumpsuits, one a tailored tuxedo and the other a chic, strapless style with a bow — gave the collection a young, playful spirit. Elsewhere, an elegant duchess satin column gown with an open-back and a square-shaped train winked at Sixties couture.
