Having branched out into ready-to-wear and dipped a toe in the mass market the latter via a recent collaboration with French mail-order giant La Redoute Rabih Kayrouz opted to present just a handful of looks for his couture presentation this season. Inspired by the forest, the creations were hung like works of art in his atelier. Indeed, an impeccably tailored black jacket, its panels held together by small rows of translucent green pearls, was a miracle of craftsmanship and construction. Ditto the moss green skirt made from strips of laser-cut leather. For evening, Kayrouz showed a cashmere jersey long-sleeved gown whose seams appeared to have been outlined in chalk. While his pleated Lurex knits appeared a little droopy, there was a fairytale charm to an assymetrical tent dress made of mossy green dévoré velvet and set off by a prim white collar.
