Following a 10-year hiatus, Stéphanie Coudert staged a convincing comeback to the couture calendar with an array of cleverly tailored looks, most of them for day.

She employed asymmetric constructions and well-placed draping on coats and jackets, including a loose mustard coat with a built-in capelet, and a sweater jacket featuring a luscious collar matched to an oversize satchel.

Embellishments were few yet effective. Coudert placed leather shreds, which she had painted in metallic colors to resemble Berber jewelry, on the back of a shoulder or along the lapel, feeding the collection’s oriental theme.
