Never a brand known for its subtly, Ne-Net turned out yet another wacky collection for fall-winter, rife with animal motifs, alpine knitwear and prairie skirts. Designer Kazuaki Takashima kicked off the show with a trio of models wearing balls of shrubbery on their heads, setting the tone for an eclectic collection featuring landscape print dresses, bootlace ties, garments with pockets shaped like mice heads, snake-shaped knit scarves, a dress bearing the head of a toothy bear and a sweatshirt decorated with a Pinocchio head complete with a 3-D nose. To say there was a lot to take in would be an understatement.
