Mathieu Mirano has a tendency to work classic silhouettes with unexpected elements, and for fall his pencil skirt featured small meteoritic, rocklike studs. The lineup was remarkably heavy on fur, with which the designer experimented by inserting a sheer “window” on the side of a feathered fox-fur coat and leather panels on a skirt to create a geometric pattern. Other ideas were less successful, including the sheer nude maxiskirt with a vertical panel of black fur along the leg, but Mirano still racks up points for risk-taking and showmanship.
