Inspired by New York’s nightlife in the early Eighties, John Richmond put the focus on boxy silhouettes for a range of jackets and coats, including a gray double-breasted style with a snakeskin-embellished lapel. These looks were well cut and surely more bankable than the plethora of asymmetric dresses in printed sheer fabrics. Showing more than a little skin, they crossed over the line of good taste.
