Growing up in New York City has long informed Andrea Lieberman’s sensibility, and for fall she looked back to the late Eighties and the rise of hip-hop for a little flavor. “I wanted to bring some swagger to great classics,” she said.

The nods were clear in pieces like leather track pants, sweatshirts with calf-hair fronts and knits emblazoned with the word “tribe.” Otherwise, the references were more subtle — an oversize zipper on a parka, a paint-splattered print on a long-sleeve silk dress. Lieberman has a way of mixing wearable separates with trend-driven pieces and for fall, she did it again.
