Daniel Wingate’s vast fall collection carried on the pre-fall inspiration of James Turrell’s art work, its influence most evident in the pretty palette — mauve, pink, purple, deep blue and malachite green. The colors appeared on tailored suits in textural tweed and floral prints, shown head to toe on a silk top with matching pants and a strapless ballgown.

A spokesman for the house noted that while it still addresses red-carpet season, Escada is focusing less on eveningwear and more on day clothes, such as fall’s men’s-wear-inspired tailoring and colorful dresses with convertible sleeves.
