One can always expect some form of entertainment at a Kenneth Cole show and this season the designer delivered it via video of Alan Cumming and Rachel Dratch in an Instagram battle of who has a more glamorous life. “What’s real and what’s for show?” was Cole’s question.

His woman’s collection was a very real commercial line, worked in a mix of textures and layering — and lots of it. A pin-striped wrap skirt was worn over pants; a moto jacket came in a leather-and-snakeskin combo; double-knit sweatshirts had pleated backs, and long tunics-over-trousers made for nontraditional suiting.
Cole continued the theme with his men’s lineup, on mark with the season’s trends by blending traditional tailoring with casual sports-inspired pieces, many with street elements.

A gray pin-striped blazer was worn with a turtleneck and wool sweatpants for a cozy look.
On the flip side, there was an aggressive undertone to the street-inspired numbers, i.e., a wool-and-leather hooded coat over calf-hair basketball shorts over black leggings and lace-up boots.
