Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad drew inspiration from the insect world — butterflies, in particular — for his fall collection, spinning his theme from dramatic evening gowns to chic daywear.

A long, white crepe coatdress featured insets of sheer black lace, a material that reappeared on a silk sweatshirt, this time as bat-wing sleeves. There was a casual ease even to the most formal looks. Thus, a floor-length skirt in a striking monochrome insect print was paired with a white shirt and a chic white leather belt.
