London-based designer Johan Ku said the fantasy film “Pan’s Labyrinth” inspired him for fall. He evoked rich, forestlike textures with chunky knits and a series of intricate patchworks combining lace, satin and metallics. His palette was dark — mostly black with touches of deep teal, red and bits of shimmer.

Asymmetric sweaters and ponchos were knitted from thick yarns in black or deep teal, and panels of shaggy fur added texture to sleeves and hemlines.

There were a few men’s outfits done in similar patchworks and shiny stuff, with one look that paired an open-knit black sweater with slim textured pants.
