La Perla is the last brand you would expect to tap into the ath-leisure trend, but this season saw the Italian purveyor of fine lingerie give its luxurious loungewear an undeniably sporty spin.
Among the satin bustier bras, high-waisted lace briefs and embellished stockings were items such as cycling shorts, a hooded jacket and a bodysuit made from black Neoprene spliced with sheer panels of embroidered tulle. Its motif was inspired by an exclusive lace used for the brand’s made-to-measure Atelier Collection, unveiled during Paris Couture Week.
Fine strips of nude tulle traced an hourglass outline on the front of a black Neoprene catsuit, in a novel twist on racer stripes. A red satin all-in-one provided a more laid-back alternative: With its embroidered maxi hood, it felt like an ultrafeminine spin on a silky boxer’s robe.
