New York native Barbara Tfank has relocated to Hollywood Hills, Calif., so it’s hardly surprising that her inspiration for fall came from her view and how the “blue of a full moon comes through my window…how things look in the moonlight,” the designer said as she showed her collection. Known for using rich, luxurious fabrics such as cloqué, brocade and tapestry, Tfank presented feminine and refined dresses that spoke for themselves. Fabrics — one-of-a kind vintage materials that Tfank recolors and redesigns — picked up the light beautifully, her passion for textiles shining through. Standouts included an A-line dress with a tulle insert, a box-pleat high-low dress and an off-the-shoulder gown, done in enticing hues ranging from amethyst to rose gold.
