Gabriela Cadena’s first show — her fall collection — had far too many zippers. She also favored high slits, mesh inserts, tight leather pants, and dresses with one side long and the other so short as to be barely there. This was undoubtedly intended to be sexy, but read as more tough than sensual.
When Cadena did opt for coverage, she showed that fun and restraint can mix with a dyed ombré knitted rabbit coat and another in black and white. This was a case where less was not necessarily more.
