Balanced delicately between new kid on the block and seasoned player, Katie Ermilio showed for fall that she knows how to deliver the goods. A fourth-generation industry veteran (her family dressed Grace Kelly), she has been steadily building a business (Taylor Swift is a fan) with clothes steeped in her signature touches: femininity doused with stripes and bows.
In her third formal presentation, the stripes took the form of beige and peach ath-leisure-style separates in double-faced wool, while bows accented both red and yellow double-faced satin evening dresses. Her not-so-literal jumping-off point was vintage ski ensembles, which influenced both the primary color palette and silhouettes. Tunics in navy nylon and wool lace, skinny cigarette pants, full skirts and a beaded satin suit harkened back to the era, but Ermilio stayed on the right side of modern. A standout was a red Rex rabbit T-shirt with matching satin skinny pants.
