Emily Saunder based her fall collection around Hilary Mantel’s historical novels “Wolf Hall” and “Bring Up the Bodies,” which tell the story of King Henry VIII’s split from his first wife, Catherine, and his subsequent split with Rome.

She interpreted the ideas into a Tudor-inspired lineup with medieval influences seen in dresses with capelet sleeves, as well as nods to traditional Anglo elements like tweeds, herringbone and tartan patterns and crest prints.

Pearl-embellished tops and fox-fur outerwear gave the collection a more luxe vibe.
