“This collection has always been about the push and pull between boy and girl, tomboy and feminine,” said Thakoon Panichgul during a walk-through of his Addition line. This season, he played on those codes with plaid, lace and fringe accents, seen on everything from plush knits and scarves with funnel necks to updated takes on the pajamalike jumpsuits and ponchos the brand is known for. Panichgul worked in feminine touches throughout, like built-in lace intarsia on knits or organic polka dots on outerwear, which created cheetah-print effects. He also introduced denim into the collection for the first time. It was seen both in stand-alone pieces — like a patchwork miniskirt — and as an accent on his signature, eclectic shirting.
